"Welcome to Muskie Bay Resort".
Another great season at Muskie Bay has come to an
end. It is hard to believe that it was our 12th
summer here on Rice Lake. This summer the weather
was okay, a little more rain than some guests would have
liked, but the grass stayed green all year. This
fall was the most beautiful, with warm weather, calm
waters, gorgeous colors and all a the the same time.
After reading the calendars this fall, we would have to
say the fishing was plentiful this year too. I know
we have seen some great catches and the new limits on
walleye did not present any problems.
All 23
cottages have been renovated. It has taken some
years to complete, but the results have been worth the
wait. Now what are the guys going to do you
ask??? Last May we had a "wooden
playground" installed, and the smiling faces of our
young guests say it is a huge success. Also in May,
we had a special guest walk through our grounds. A
black bear decided to stop and rest in the tree by the old
fish hut. Created some excitement for the guests and
and picture opportunities too!
Reminder: Confirmations will be mailed out
the first week of December, with deposits due
Jan.15th,2009. Once again we ask all guest who will
not be joining us next year to let us know as soon as
possible.
Fishing Regulations: Walleye limits
remain the same as in 2008. Sport License @4, and
Conservation @2. Only one fish may be over 18
inches. There has been no change to pinfish
limits. Limits have been imposed on other lakes, but
not in our zone!
Passport requirement: As of now, passports
are not yet required for travel into Canada. They
have issued a "passport card" which is to be
less expensive and easier to carry. Any question
please call 1-877-487-2778 or visit http://travel.state.gov
Over
the years, your Friendship and Loyalty to Muskie Bay is
what we believe has made it the "Best Family Vacation

Best
Wishes for a Healthy, Happy Christmas Season.
